An excellent opportunity has arisen within an Irish healthcare company. Based in the UK, as the National Sales Director you will be responsible for leading a small team of National Account Managers and Retails Merchandisers. Reporting to the Irish based Sales & Marketing Director you will be responsible for the overall management and development of distribution channels for a medical device throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Our client are open on location and the successful candidate will work from home. Within this role you will be responsible for the following: ** Managing key existing retail and wholesale relationships (both directly and indirectly through sales managers) to achieve projected sales and profits. ** Managing teams to work more effectively with existing customers to develop distribution plans, motivate sales staff and assist in driving sell-through through merchandising, consumer and trade promotions ** Provide Irish headquarters with detailed analysis of each of your markets by channel, account and outlet describing competitors and customers ** Conduct detailed annual reviews of existing customer contracts and investigate whether or not renegotiation of terms ** Ensure successful launch of new products within these markets by liaising with marketing and operations to ensure appropriate packaging development, launch timings, marketing tools and stock availability ** Identify new distributors, wholesalers and accounts ** Accurately forecast sales and plans for each market. Requirements for the role are a strong academic background in a business or marketing background along with at least 5 years Sales Management experience. Ideally this experience will within a healthcare, pharmaceutical, fitness or medical device industry. You will be an excellent leader, motivator and negotiator.
